South Jakarta Baznas Bazis allocates zakat, infaq and alms (ZIS) revenue for renovating 180 houses in Bedah Rumah program this year.
For this year will be 180 houses
Acting South Jakarta Baznas Bazis, Ahmad Kahpi, stated Bedah Rumah program is one of government programs in lowering the burden on underprivileged and disaster-affected residents.
South Jakarta Mayor Appreciates Achievements in 2023"We renovated 160 houses last year. For this year will be 180 houses with cost estimation Rp 50 million per unit," he stated,, Monday (1/22).
According to him, South Jakarta Baznas Bazis has cooperated with urban village to propose one house to be renovated. The urban village is able to propose again if disaster such as fire or others happened.
"We are able to renovate the house based on urban village's aspiration without changing the land border," he added.
It is hoped the program will let underprivileged residents are able to live in decent, clean and comfortable house.
Meanwhile, Hari Purwanto (60, resident of Gang Amal I, Pelatih Mampang Urban Village, thanked to the program since his house was burnt in 2023.
"Thanks to Allah my house is getting better. Other facilities are also fulfilled," he admitted.
